“He did this so they might seek God, and perhaps they might reach out and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’”
Acts 17:27-28 HCSB
I’d like to focus on the statement ‘He is not far from each one of us. For in Him we live and move and exist,’ This is quite the statement and something that I think many tend to forget in times that are difficult. God IS there always and its incumbant on us to reach out to Him when stressed, upset or in dismay. Life is not always easy. It is a mix of ups and downs and in-between. God is there for us during all or it. Over the course of this year I am more and more aware of it and in times of a little stress I have made a conscious effort to feel His presence. Feeling His presence doesn’t immediately alleviate whatever stressors I am experiencing at that moment, but it makes enduring and navigating the situation easier. And I don’t think I would be able to do that without having made the decision to connect every day.
