“Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows he will also reap, because the one who sows to his flesh will reap corruption from the flesh, but the one who sows to the Spirit will reap eternal life from the Spirit. So we must not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up. ”
I am an introvert. I’ll say it proud. It’s not that I dislike people and being around groups. It’s just interactions throughout the day drain my energy levels. But in order to be good at my job I make a conscious effort to interact in a positive way with my co-workers and students.
I work with a variety of age groups roaming the halls, and a trend I have noticed with some, maybe most, but not all, is a tendency not to make eye contact. That was me at that age. There is nothing wrong with it, and I understand where it is coming from. But to excel at my job I need to build relationships so I make an effort to make eye contact, smile, nod and maybe say “Good morning.” I also try to do this when out and about in town. It is a small way of sowing the Spirit.
