Mayday 2: The heat is on

It was hot today.  Not full on summer heat type hot but hot enough to feel it on my run.  Luckily my daughter has a breeze (generated by me) and an awning on her stroller.  That being said here is how I did on Mayday 2.

Sleep, yeah, was still not good.  Two sessions of balanced breathing that weren’t great, but I again crushed my steps for the day.  My water intake was better but still not up to my goal.

Let no one despise your youth; instead, you should be an example to the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.

1 Timothy 4:12 HCSB

Paul is instructing Timothy in this book and  in this verse his guidance is pretty self-explanatory.   At their purest they are instructions to lead by example.  Strive to live a godly life and the people will follow.  I particularly like the fact that Paul says “let no one despise your youth.”  To me he is saying that Timothy shouldn’t let them tell him he is too young to be a leader in the church.  If he let’s the Holy Spirit guide him and conduct himself accordingly then it will all work out.  A lesson for us all.  It doesn’t matter if we’re old or young, man or woman, or any race color or creed, we should all live a life in love, in faith, and in purity.
