Moderation May

It’s April 30th and I’ve been blogging everyday (for the most part) other than Sundays for four months now.  Ever since Lent I have noticed that my sweet tooth has emerged, not quite with a vengeance, but maybe rearing his ugly head more often than I would like.

It is not good to eat too much honey or to seek glory after glory.

Proverbs 25:27

I thought I would create a theme for the month of May.  Something to be creative and keep some momentum.  I did a Meditation May a couple of years ago and it worked out well.  So I went for a walk and prayed for a little inspiration and hence, Moderation May.

For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with goodness, goodness with knowledge, knowledge with self-control, self-control with endurance, endurance with godliness,”

2 Peter 1:5-6

So May is going to be a month of moderation and in order to accomplish that I needed some goals.  Here is what I came up with:

  • Average 10,000 steps for the whole month
  • Drink 8 cups of water a day
  • No sweets at work and have dessert only 3 times a week
  • Balanced Breathing 2 times a day
  • Ponder and write on a Bible verse 5 days a week.

There we have it.  We’ll see how I do.  God Bless.
