A funny country song from decades ago, but seriously where has humility gone in the world. A question I ask myself daily, “Am I being humble?” Why? Because I am a servant. Or at least I should be. Not always the case.
“In that day you will know that I am in My Father, you are in Me, and I am in you. The one who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me. And the one who loves Me will be loved by My Father. I also will love him and will reveal Myself to him.””
John 14:20-21 HCSB
Recently, I completed a devotional entitled, Man: God’s Image Bearer. I was created in God’s image and should be both an example and representative of Him. The best example of Him, of course is Jesus, who was a servant.
So one of the ways I am trying is in my daily interactions with others. Which of course includes this blog. I hope I come across as humble. I am by no means close to perfect, but want to share what I think is a wonderful journey of working in my spiritual, physical, and mental health. I am your servant. God bless!
James 4:10. Humility is elusive, the moment you think you have it, you do not.
