So like any two-year old, our daughter, on occasion, misbehaves. And when she does she goes to her time out chair which she truly dislikes. In fact, she doesn’t like being put in time out at all, and that’s a good thing. We are pretty blessed because there are days when she doesn’t spend any time in that chair. There are days where she makes repeat visits, but those are rare.
Tonight she spent some time in her timeout chair with her pajamas half on. My wife and I explained what she had done wrong and she apologized. We got her out of her chair. Then I then picked her up, and she put her head on my shoulder. We told her we loved her several times, and we told her she was a sweet girl. She is a sweet little girl. She’s very considerate for a 2-year-old, and she wants so badly to help us clean up.
The point is, we are blessed, and its’ important that we show love toour daughter when she is good and when does something wrong. She’ll learn from it.
“Teach a youth about the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Proverbs 22:6 (HCSB)
Keep teaching her the right way. We all need discipline, need not want it.
