Fog Days

Just like snow days there should be fog days.  This morning it was foggy, and when I say foggy, I’m talking like the severe marine layer fog they get in San Francisco.  And as a result I saw no less than three accidents on my way into work.  When the fog is this bad we should just stay home.  Which got me thinking about…

“The Israelites set out whenever the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle throughout all the stages of their journey.  If the cloud was not taken up, they did not set out until the day it was taken up.

Exodus 40:36-37

God literally kept the Israelites in one place until He was ready to lead them further.  He lifted the cloud and their path was revealed.  I like to think about that imagery with the path that I am on.  It won’t be revealed until God wants to reveal it.  My future, like all of our futures, is foggy.  I can’t see it.  I think I know what the future has in store for me, but I don’t really.  I just have to trust that He will get me and my family where He wants us to go.  I trusted Him this morning and got to work safely.  He will get my family to our future as well.  God Bless!
