The Perfect Playlist Part 1

“Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and lyre.”

Psalms 149:3

Music is a big part of our lives.  My wife and I have many a playlist for different moods and situations.  We love music across genres.  If its good and we like it.  We have it.  But I have noticed something in my old age.  I am gravitating more toward classical music.

Today for instance I put in my headphones and was ready to cue up a playlist for some writing and I cued up my classical playlist.  Its filled with baroque music where I read somewhere is good for reading because its at 60 bpm (which is close to most people’s resting heart rate).  I don’t know the veracity of that statement but it sounds good.  I can tell you anecdotally that it works.  I get into a flow better than listening to something with a lot of percussion and lyrics.  That can get distracting.  It also helps me keep calm.  Its hard to stress out with some Bach or Mozart.  So try it out see if it works for you.  God Bless!
