A FIVE DAY DEVOTIONAL TO GET YOU MOVING TOWARD SPIRITUAL, MENTAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH
We’re trying to make this as painless as possible, but discipline in all that we do is essential. Sometimes scraping 10 minutes out of a hectic day of work and taking care of your wife and kids can seem like an insurmountable task. I can tell you though it’s important to try and find it. It might be during a break at work, or during lunch.
Get up and let’s take a ten-minute walk. If you have a smart phone, odds are it counts steps. See where you’re at right now. Take a mental note or write it down and let’s get moving. Start easy to get the joints going but increase to a pace that you can handle but nothing too fast. I tend to do it at work. I get up from my desk, head down stairs and just walk around the building. I also avoid the elevator at all costs. For one it tends to break down, but the more important reason is it is extra steps. Once you’re done with your walk…
Remember those nice comfortable breaths. After your walk take a few minutes to just breathe. Don’t get right back to work or whatever. Get into a rhythm that is comfortable and think about the verse from above. You may want to set a timer for a couple of minutes.
Okay you’re almost done. Now some questions.
What does the verse mean to you? How might you use it?
Set aside some time for tomorrow. Just 15 minutes sometime in your day. It doesn’t need to be all at once, but at least 10 minutes together and then 5 minutes some time else. Plan it now. Don’t worry about the next day. Just plan tomorrow.
See you then. God Bless
