Its day 23 and I don’t know what to say about my Whole30 experience. We had breakfast for dinner last night. I had eggs, bacon and potatoes for breakfast. My wife is at a loss for recipes. We have only 7 more days and we will have completed the program. It’s too early to look back and start talking about it, as something monumental could happen this week. That, however, is unlikely as I have found that it is pretty easy to comply with the rules (although truth be told I should be eating more vegetables).
Tale of the tape, and fitbit, and scale
As promised here are some metrics from my Whole30 journey. I am weighing in at 156 pounds. That is down from 161 lb which I posted on Tuesday Bluesday, my resting heart rate is hovering around 49. Here is a graph that my fitbit app generates.
Now it didn’t decrease as much as when I had given up sugar for lent. However, I haven’t been exercising at all since starting. Well other than picking up a 17 pound baby frequently and moving around jumperoos, high chairs, and play yards. I haven’t done any real cardiovascular workouts. Something I will remedy the next month. Trying to hold as many variables constant here. But still my resting heart rate is down from 53 or 54 since February. Score! And the last biometric marker was waistline of 34 1/4. Not a big jump but a one in the positive direction down from 35. Safe to say my pants are fitting a little better.
So I guess I did have something to say after all. God Bless and have a good weekend.
