So that is a recurring line from an old Tom Hanks movie called The Money Pit. The running gag is that whenever Tom asks the contractors working on the house when it will be done they keep saying, “Two Weeks.” The joke is of course they are never going to be finished in two weeks.
My wife and I have been at the Whole30 program now for two weeks and when tomorrow is over, we’ll be halfway complete. And unlike the couple in the movie, we both know that we’re going to be done in two weeks. We’ve made it this far, so what is two weeks more?
That is not to say the next two weeks will be easy, but when you get to work and see this…
Two weeks can seem like an awfully long time. Don’t worry I didn’t have any of those crispy sugar dough balls, but you see what I’m dealing with. You may also be in the same boat, whether you are doing a Whole30 or just trying to eat better. But here’s the thing. I don’t have to make it through another two weeks of temptations. I just have to make it through today! Tomorrow will take care of itself. And don’t think I will miss packing some apples for work in addition to the leftovers that ARE Whole30 compliant. God Bless!
“Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.“
