Oh how I love Saturdays!
I love that I get to sleep in on Saturdays. Instead of being woken up by my fitbit at 5:30 on Saturdays my daughter wakes me up by ‘singing’ at 7:30. After many smiles from the little girl and an 8 oz bottle of formula its back to sleep for all. And a thankful mommy gets to sleep in herself.
Day 2 of the Whole30
Breakfast/lunch on the weekends is a highlight. During the week its usually a bowl of cheerios and coffee (those days are gone for the next 29 days), but on the weekend I get to have a good big breakfast. Today it was leftover bacon from last night, three eggs sunny side up served on a bed of leftover potatoes. Mmmmm, man they were good!
I am blessed to have a very talented wife on many fronts. One of which is in the kitchen. She has posted some truly mouth watering treats over at DailyBeautyWisdom. She is also writing about her experiences with the Whole30.
So today Brunch was good and drank my coffee with almond milk cold. This is the way I am gonna have to drink it from now on. Dinner we had an organic whole chicken cooked in the oven with a lemon glaze. Very good. My wife also made onions, sweet potatoes, and bananas all roasted in the oven. They were super good. To dirnk I had iced green tea brewed with some ginger root.
The bad news is we both have had headaches off and on all day. I don’t know if its the lack of sugar or caffeine that is the main contributor. Probably a little bit of both. But that is too be expected as our bodies are filtering out all the toxins. God Bless!
