Ah Friday! Thank God its Friday. This week I was able to get more into the swing of the new program. I ran twice this week. The first time with my daughter in her stroller. I did the pushing and she enjoyed the ride.
Last nights run I did a mile in about a 9:30 pace. My goal is to get that down to as close to 7 minutes as possible over the course of the first 6 months of the year.
I also incorporated some yoga into my workout breaks at work. Upward facing and downward facing dog combined with push-ups. Each position was held for 5 deep diaphragmatic breaths and then in between I would do a push up. These are working in my focus areas of flexibility and core stability as well as getting at a little strength. And of course I had an apple a day! All in all a good week. Going to spend some time this weekend laying out a comprehensive plan for next week.
